Abstract:
Public irrigation projects depend on modern management; The general objective of this research is to quantify and qualify, through indicators and their respective indexes, the performance of the system called the Curaçá Public Irrigation Project 1 - BA. To achieve this goal it is necessary to survey, analyze and represent the data, in time and space. with selection and application of
indicators and their respective performance indices related to the water balance,
operation and maintenance services, sustainability of irrigable areas and
the economic performance and the demand and consumption of electricity. THE
overall consumption ratio (RGC) that provides system reliability indices,
when analyzed in the annual period, presents the values of 0.91 and 0.99 relative to the
biennium 2008/2009. respectively within the required operating range which is 0.70
- 1.00, but monthly perimeter shows indices that are out of range
acceptable would be 0.60 - 1.U). From 2004 to 2030, the consumption ratio
(RCM) whose executive project benchmark is 1,500 m3 ha-1, it is verified that the
that the average values above the planned ones are inserted in the months of
August to November. The irrigable area occupation ratio (ROAI) presents
annual average above the unit over the period 2004 - 2010, which indicates a
irrigated area in the smallholder sector, while
business area! It is underused and with a drastic reduction in the irrigable area. The
from the year 2010. Considering the water productivity ratio (RPA '), the
average indices of sectors 111 and 112, year 2009, were below the regional average;
in sector 122, the average index found 6 of 2.70 Kg m '\
electricity consumption and demand, year 2009, forum 0.50 kWh ha "', 0.53 kWh
m "3 c, 0.48 kW ha" 1, 0.51 kW ra "\ respectively, indicating that the demand for
electricity follows consumption rates by charging energy costs
electrical system. Overall, the project indicates aspects of reliability,
equity and efficiency to its users.
