Resumen:
Environmental education is now a widely discussed topic and has come to prominence especially in academic environments, and is currently being investigated in different spaces: school and non-school. There are several ways of making and working with Environmental Education and considering that scientific research is for the production and dissemination of knowledge we sought to discover what is the theoretical corpus which has based studies and research in Environmental Education at the Center for Education and Health of the Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, and try to point out their contribution to the formal Environmental Education. To achieve this goal we analyzed the references of final papers that addressed the environmental issues, deposited in this campus library, pointing out the most referenced authors, their most cited works and some of their ideas on the subject. Throughout this study we felt the need to assess and analyze the nature of References of the chosen papers. From the analysis, it can be noticed that a few works produced in this region are mentioned in the construction for the bibliographic support and in general, scientific articles are more used than other sources for the theoretical framework. At the end of the study it is concluded that the corpus of environmental education at this university center is still under construction, but walks into a critic and reflective line.
