Abstract:
The work presented here has as its theme The use of Music in Childhood Education
Learning Process. In this way it presents a reflection on how educators of Childhood
Education introduce this resource in their methodologies, also bringing to this reflection
Art, since Music represents one of its languages. This investigation registers as a
qualitative type research, based on some principles of Case Study. It had locus in the
São José Nursery in Cajazeiras city – PB. The instruments used for the data collection
were the observation and the interview with the teachers of Childhood Education Marta
and Lúcia, whose names are fictitious in order to safeguard the identity of both. They
teach in level one and level two grades. The investigation revealed that the educators
sometimes employ some songs in their classes spontaneously, without relate them to the
content or even without taking into account the children’s musical taste, as well as they
do not know how to use this resource. It was also possible to realize that the educators
do not take advantage of these moments to enrich the children’s musical taste bringing
other songs that they possibly do not have access outside the classroom. At last, through
this work it was possible to realize the contributions of the use of music as a way to
promote the children’s integral development facilitating the learning of scholar contents.
