| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | De acordo com o IPCC, os eventos climáticos extremos, especialmente os relacionados às altas temperaturas, têm se tornado cada vez mais frequentes e intensos. Um desses eventos são as ondas de calor (OC), fenômenos que impactam diretamente a saúde humana, os ecossistemas e a infraestrutura urbana. Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar e analisar as ondas de calor ocorridas em Cuiabá - MT entre os anos de 1961 a 2024, com foco em sua duração, intensidade e frequência. Para isso, foram utilizados dados diários de temperatura máxima e mínima provenientes da estação meteorológica convencional do INMET, aplicando-se os índices CTX90pct e CTN90pct, baseados no percentil 90. As análises estatísticas e computacionais foram realizadas com o uso das ferramentas Python e Excel, além da aplicação do teste de Mann-Kendall e regressão linear para verificação de tendências. Os resultados indicam um aumento significativo na frequência e duração das ondas de calor a partir da década de 2010, evidenciando também uma tendência de elevação das temperaturas ao longo da série histórica. Em suma, este trabalho evidencia que as ondas de calor têm se intensificado nos últimos anos, ressaltando a relevância e a urgência dessa temática. |
| Abstract: | According to the IPCC, extreme weather events, especially those related to high temperatures, have become increasingly frequent and intense. One of these events is heat waves (HCWs), phenomena that directly impact human health, ecosystems, and urban infrastructure. This study aims to identify and analyze heat waves that occurred in Cuiabá - MT between 1961 and 2024, focusing on their duration, intensity, and frequency. To this end, daily maximum and minimum temperature data from the INMET conventional weather station were used, applying the CTX90pct and CTN90pct indices, based on the 90th percentile. Statistical and computational analyses were performed using Python and Excel tools, in addition to applying the Mann-Kendall test and linear regression to verify trends. The results indicate a significant increase in the frequency and duration of heat waves from the 2010s onwards, also evidencing a trend of rising temperatures throughout the historical series. In short, this work shows that heat waves have intensified in recent years, highlighting the relevance and urgency of this issue. |
