GÊNERO E SAÚDE MENTAL: SOFRIMENTO PSÍQUICO DE MULHERES EM UM SERVIÇO DE PLANTÃO PSICOLÓGICO

Abstract

The discussion about the relationship between gender, mental health and psychic suffering is a problematic, emerging and essential in the field of public health. Emphasizing the conception of multicausality - with a strong social factor - of psychic suffering, the present study aims to understand how the devices of maternal and loving subjectivation are related to the psychological suffering of women attended at a Psychological On-call Service. This is an experience report lived through a supervised internship in psychology at a municipal polyclinic, which was recorded in a field diary. Data analysis was carried out using subcategories extracted from the categories of analysis based on the approximation of the themes that most appeared in the consultations. It is hoped that this work will strengthen the importance of further studies on the influence of gender relations in cases of psychological distress, as well as elevating the Psychological Duty service as a possible tool for welcoming, politicized and democratic listening.
