| Abstract: | Brazil has a rich biological diversity, including a varied bee flora essential for the management of apiaries. At the Jatobá farm, in Aparecida-PB, mapping and analysis of land use and occupation was carried out to explore its beekeeping potential. Using remote sensing, geoprocessing and satellite images, land use categories were identified and thematic maps were generated. The NDVI analysis from December 2023 showed that the Caatinga vegetation was not flowering, with loss of leaves and low water volume. 26 plant species were identified as sources of nectar and pollen, highlighting the Fabaceae and Euphorbiaceae families. The conclusion is that the area has great beekeeping potential, and it is important for the beekeeper to identify the plants and their resources for adequate management of the hives. |
