| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | No ano em que se comemoram 500 anos de Luís Vaz de Camões, revisita-se o poema Os Lusíadas a fim de ler e contar uma vez mais e até ao fim do mundo a história que “aconteceu da mísera e mesquinha / que depois de morta foi Rainha”, consagrada no Canto III como a Linda Inês. Se em sua obra Camões convergia aos intentos do período moderno na elevação de nomes de heróis nacionais a fim de fazer vir à lume Portugal como um país cintilante na Europa, então D. Inês de Castro tem lugar de destaque em sua obra, não apenas por ser a razão do amor e da saudade de D. Pedro, mas por ser a figura mais emblemática na construção de uma identidade nacional portuguesa. |
| Abstract: | In the year in which Luís Vaz de Camões' 500th birthday is celebrated, we visit the poem Os Lusíadas in order to read and tell once again and unl the end of the world the story that “happened to the wretched and pey woman / who aer her death was Queen”, enshrined in Canto III as Linda Inês. If in his work Camões converged with the aempts of the modern period in elevang the names of naonal heroes in order to bring Portugal to light as a shining country in Europe, then D. Inês de Castro has a prominent place in his work, not only because he is the reason for the love and longing for D. Pedro, but because he is the most emblemac gure in the construcon of a Portuguese naonal identy. |
