Abstract: Financial well-being is highly important, as economic stability contributes significantly to an individual's satisfaction and quality of life. This study aims to describe the factors influencing the financial well-being of higher education faculty members in the city of Campina Grande, Paraíba, based on five main dimensions: financial well-being, financial education, financial literacy, attitude toward indebtedness, and life satisfaction. The research was guided by the following question: “How do financial factors interact to influence the overall financial health of faculty members, and in what ways can improvements in each of these areas contribute to greater well-being and quality of life?” This study is characterized as descriptive research with a quantitative approach, utilizing a structured questionnaire administered to 58 faculty members through convenience sampling. The questionnaire focused on various aspects of financial management, and data analysis was based on theories of financial behavior and financial education. The results indicate that the faculty members demonstrate moderate control over their finances, although significant variations exist in purchasing behavior and savings regularity. Overall, the professors appear satisfied with their financial situation, show a lower propensity for risk, and adopt a more conservative profile in financial decision-making. However, the study revealed an average engagement score of 3.43 in financial education activities, with 31.03% of participants engaging only occasionally. This low engagement level highlights the need for increased access to and awareness of financial education initiatives among this group. As a contribution, the study emphasizes the importance of implementing structured financial education programs in higher education institutions, aiming to promote both the professional development and financial well-being of faculty members, as well as empowering them to transmit this knowledge to future generations.
