Mulheres em movimento: trajetórias de estudantes negras na UFRGS e o tornar-se mulher negra.

Abstract

This dissertation analyzes how academic socialization influences, affirms or reaffirms black women's thinking and agency based on the trajectories of nine students from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, who are already in the final stages of their graduate programs. From a contextualization that aimed at presenting the contributions of black intellectuals and militants to the constitution of the critical thinking referred to as " black women's thought", and a brief history of the black women's movement, the research brought some data about the increasing insertion of black women in higher education and more specifically in UFRGS from 2004 to 2014, as well as questions related to their socialization, agency and criticism in an environment considered elitist, using as theoretical and methodological resources the sociology of absences and emergences, by Boaventura Sousa Santos and Bernard Lahire's sociology on an individual scale.
