Abstract: The search for innovative solutions has become a central element in a society marked by increasingly complex problems. In this context, promoting innovation in the public sector has emerged as a fundamental challenge for building more efficient governmental management and for developing effective public policies that generate real impact on citizens’ lives. The main objective of the study was to analyze Brazilian municipal initiatives awarded in the CISP from the perspective of the DISP/OECD. Specifically, it aimed to map the winning municipal projects in the CISP, categorize them according to the DISP principles, and develop a Technical-Technological Product (PTT) designed to foster innovation in municipal governments. This work is characterized as a bibliographic, documentary, exploratory, and descriptive study. The data were analyzed qualitatively through Content Analysis, seeking to characterize the awarded municipal experiences in the CISP based on the information published in ENAP’s e-books on winning initiatives from the 24th to the 28th editions of the Public Sector Innovation Award. The research identified the absence of the Northern and Southern regions among the awarded initiatives and highlighted the city of Recife (PE) as the municipality with the highest number of recognitions, with four awards, followed by Belo Horizonte (MG), with two awards. Moreover, the study evidenced the diversity of innovative solutions, revealing the significant innovation potential present in municipal governments. It is suggested that future research analyze the continuity and expansion of the awarded initiatives, as well as other regional awards that include municipalities of different sizes. It is also recommended to expand the study to the state level in order to understand the specifics of this sphere and its impact on municipal innovation.
