Abstract: This dissertation analyzes the process of productive reconversion in the municipality of Cabaceiras (PB), taking as objects of study the Tapera (current Hotel Fazenda Pai Mateus) and Gangorra Farms. The research uses the first property as a milestone in the transition to tourism in the territory and an example of mimicry for the second, which tries to achieve visibility in the form of other "paths" of geotourism exploration. The main objective is to understand the transition from agricultural production to rural tourism, unveiling the new narratives of land use and their socio-spatial implications on the scale from latifundium to smallholding. Methodologically, the triangulation of digital sources (Instagram) was adopted, associating a bibliographic review, interviews with local actors and analysis of strategies for the exploitation of the land, memory and nature of the semi-arid region as a tourist heritage. The results indicate that the tourist reconversion occurs under different temporalities and logics: while in Fazenda Tapera the process is consolidated and linked to the film and television industries, in Gangorra the transition takes place in a delayed way in relation to the established crisis context, being mediated by the logic of digital platforms and algorithms, which is still insufficient for the consolidation of this process. From a comprehensive perspective, we can indicate that this is no longer an isolated phenomenon, but that it goes beyond the limits of the farm gates, resulting in transformations in the productive, economic and social dimensions for the municipality. Some of the transformations observed beyond the borders of these latifundia are movements of real estate speculation on small properties, driven by agents of the coastal hotel industry and a clear institutional anachronism of rural credit lines, whose guidelines demonstrate a lack of synchrony with the emerging established productive reality
